PRIVACY POLICY
This policy describes the information privacy practices that Vivo Energy (VE, “we”, “us”, or “our”, if not explicitly referring to the company) follow when handling personal information that we collect or receive in conducting our business, including through our services, products, websites, employee(s) and user application(s). 1.1 Only persons legally resident in Uganda and having attained at least 18 years of age shall be eligible for membership of the Loyalty Club.
1.2 There shall be 6 categories of membership of the Loyalty Club as follows:(a) Private motorist;
(b) Light commuter vehicle driver;
(c) Truck driver;
(d) Formal taxi driver;
(e) Motorcycle boda-boda rider;
(f) Motorcyclist.
(a) By registering at any participating Shell fueling station;
(b) By registering through the Shell Africa App on App Store or Google Play;
(c) By dialing +256 312 250 250; toll free 0800 220 250 when available;
(d) By registering at www.shell.co.ug/loyalty;
(e) By registering through a USSD code on *295#, where available.
(a) By dialing the call center on +256 312 250 250; toll free 0800 220 250 when available;
(b) By returning the membership card to Vivo Energy at its head office;
(c) By issuing a 30 day written termination notice.
1.2 There shall be 6 categories of membership of the Loyalty Club as follows:
An eligible person may seek registration as a member of the Loyalty Club under any of the abovementioned categories of membership only.
1.3 An eligible person shall attain membership of the Loyalty Club by registering his/her valid mobile phone number, as a minimum, using any one of the following methods:
1.4 An eligible person may attain enhanced membership of the Loyalty Club by registering both his/her valid mobile phone number together with additional personal information as may be required by Vivo Energy, using any one of the methods listed in Clause 1.3 above. A member of the Loyalty Club can enhance his/her membership by registering additional personal information as may be required by Vivo Energy, using any one of the methods listed in Clause 1.3 above.
1.5 1.5 Upon registration a member of the Loyalty Club will be issued a membership card or tag. The Loyalty Club member shall present the membership card or tag to a customer champion each time he/she makes a purchase at a participating shell fueling station. Failure to present the membership card or tag shall mean that no loyalty points will be registered for the attendant purchase.
1.6 A Loyalty Club membership may be terminated in any one of the following ways:
2. REWARDING OF LOYALTY POINTS
2.1 A Loyalty Club member will be rewarded with loyalty points upon registration as a member and or in respect of purchases of qualifying Shell products. A selected Loyalty Club member will additionally be rewarded with loyalty points upon linking Vivo Energy to his Facebook or other social media platform.
2.2 Vivo Energy reserves the right to change the points allocated to the various categories of products at any time with or without prior notice.

3. TRANSFER OF LOYALTY POINTS
A Loyalty Club member will only be able to transfer points to another member of the Loyalty Club provided that:
3.1 a minimum of 50 (fifty) loyalty points must be transferred at a go;
3.2 the transferring member’s loyalty points balance shall not fall below 100 (one hundred)

4. REDEMPTION OF POINTS
4.1 A Loyalty Club member shall be entitled to redeem accumulated loyalty points and thereby convert them into gifts to be selected from a catalogue maintained by Vivo Energy. Provided that Vivo Energy shall, at its sole and absolute discretion, be entitled to remove and or replace any gifts in the catalogue without assigning any reason therefore.
4.2 A Loyalty Club member may convert loyalty points into gifts through the following means:
4.3 A Loyalty Club member who does not perform any transaction for a period of 180 (one hundred eighty) consecutive days shall forfeit his accumulated loyalty points.
4.4 Loyalty points will be available for redemption for a maximum period of 24 months from the time they were respectively rewarded. Any loyalty points that are not redeemed within 24 months from the time they were rewarded shall be forfeited.
5. DATA PROTECTION
All personal data submitted by an eligible person or a Loyalty Club member will be collected, processed, and held in accordance with the provisions the applicable data protection legislation in Uganda. By submitting personal data pursuant hereto an eligible person or a Loyalty Club member consents to and authorizes Vivo Energy to collect, process and hold such data for purposes of furthering the objectives of the Loyalty Club.
